Jayco now manufactures 3 models when it comes to Pop Up campers, and all the three models are reasonably priced. The cheapest of the lot is the ‘Jay Series’, in the middle is the “Jayco Baja’, and the ‘Jayco Select’ is the most expensive of the three.
Jay Series Campers:
The Jay series offers five floor plans which include the 806, the 1006, the 1007, the 1206, and the 1207. Wile the 806 floor plan comes with a king/twin bed combo, the 1006 and the 1007 plans have a double/king bed combo, and the 1206 and 1207 plans incorporate a queen/king bed combo. The 1007, 1206 and 1207 variants also consist of two dinettes, and the 1006 variant comes with a sofa to compliment the existent dinette. The 806 variant boasts of a dinette/kitchen area that is larger than in most pop up campers. These can comfortably sleep 5 to 7 people.
You’ll also find seized RV’s from law enforcement agencies and surplus units from federal, state, and local agencies. The condition of these RV’s vary - some will be like new and others will be only good for salvage. You can view the units before you place a bid and most agencies will list any known problems.
The four floor plans that you can choose from include 10C, 10D, 10Y, and 10Z. All these floor plans come with a double bed on one end and a king sized one at the other. The variation in these plans is essentially with the central area, the seating/dinette area, port-a-potty cabinet, storage cabinets, and the kitchen area. The Baja can comfortably sleep six people, and if the space in the Baja seems inadequate, you can look at the Jayco Select.
An investment in a used RV is really an investment in the entire family though. Now all of us, kids included, look forward to vacations and long weekends with a little more enthusiasm
